Points of Interest in Staunton and the Shenandoah Valley...

Staunton is located in the heart of the beautiful and historic Shenandoah Valley.  It is a charming college town with stately trees and beautiful heritage homes.  Settled in 1732 by the Scots-Irish, Staunton was named for Lady Rebecca Staunton Gooch, wife of Virginia’s governor.

Staunton has a number of wonderful restaurants, shops and museums, several of which are within easy walking distance. The links on the following pages provide a mere sampling of the attractions within the city and the surrounding areas.
